File Forge (“the Service”) is operated by Arvem (Wyatt Roberts), an individual developer based in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and what rights you have.

1. Who Operates File Forge

File Forge is a personal project created and maintained by Wyatt Roberts, also known by the developer handle Arvem. I am a Florida resident currently studying in Virginia. The server may physically operate in either state depending on the academic semester.

2. Information You Upload

When you upload a file for conversion, the file is temporarily stored on the server for processing. Files are:

• Used only for the purpose of conversion
• Not viewed, analyzed, or shared
• Automatically deleted shortly after processing

3. Automatically Collected Information

To operate the Service, minimal technical information may be logged, such as:

• IP address (for security and rate limiting)
• Browser type
• Error logs
• Conversion job IDs

This information is used solely to maintain and improve the Service. It is not sold or shared.

4. Cookies and Advertising

File Forge uses Google AdSense to display ads. Google may use cookies or similar technologies to:

• Serve personalized or non‑personalized ads
• Measure ad performance
• Comply with regional consent requirements

Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland will see a Google‑provided Consent Management Platform (CMP) message. Your choices in that message determine how Google uses cookies on this site.

5. File Deletion Policy

Converted files and uploaded files are automatically removed after processing. If you need a file removed sooner, email me with the job ID.

• Deletion of logs associated with your IP
• Information about what data was processed
• Correction of inaccurate information

Users in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and California (CCPA/CPRA) have additional rights, including the right to opt out of personalized ads.

7. Security

All file transfers occur over HTTPS. Files are isolated, processed in temporary directories, and deleted automatically.

8. Public Domain Assets

All icons, graphics, and assets used by File Forge are public domain or otherwise license‑free.

9. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated occasionally. The “Effective Date” will always reflect the latest version.
